In this week’s sermon, our own Mac Armstrong asks, what if sensitivity is only part of what is needed to facilitate growth? After introducing the concept of an emotional dialectic, he identifies vulnerability as a counter-force to sensitivity and argues that through emotional cycling between sensitivity and vulnerability, we can balance the dialectic and break free from political stagnation.
Mac is a builder of tall bikes, contra dancer, Spanish speaker, and lover of Regional Mexican music. He nerds out on the radical politics, fiddle tunes and traditional dances of turtle island.

From June 21 through September 6, we will have summer services on Sunday morning. These services have lower production values, usually, but greater intimacy. Most weeks, People’s people will share reflections on things that matter to them and there will be time for small group conversations. The speakers’ schedule is not available as the newsletter goes to press – it will be shared in weekly emails.
Please join us on Zoom or in person! Services are normally held in the Commons and over Zoom at 10:45am. Sunday Services can be accessed over Zoom by following this link: https://uuma.zoom.us/j/5527667326 Or by calling 1-646-876-9923 and entering the code 552 766 7326 at the listed time.
