Befriending Grief

A life well lived in full of loss and grief. No one wants to wallow in grief, and many of us avoid it as much as we can. But as with most things, avoidance isn’t much of a solution. Grief will be your companion for a long time. What if we tried befriending it?

Following the service, bring your questions and your stories to a grief and bereavement discussion hour with Jill.  Jill Terwilliger is an independent grief coach at Anbau Coaching and a hospice grief counselor. She is an ordained UU minister who served congregations in Minnesota and Michigan from 1998 to 2008. Since leaving parish ministry, Jill has worked as a hospice chaplain, a restorative justice facilitator and trainer, a mentoring matchmaker, and an artist. Jill lives in Kalamazoo (next door to her mom, People’s person Ann Terwilliger) with her partner and their blended family of 2 cats and 2 chihuahuas.
