Abortion Bans are Against My Religion: What Judaism has to Teach About Reproductive Justice

Rabbi Simone Schicker (she/her) has been the spiritual leader of Temple B’nai Israel in Kalamazoo since her ordination from Hebrew Union College – Jewish Institute of Religion in 2018. Rabbi Schicker currently serves as the co-President of the Women’s Rabbinic Network, is on the Board of Friendship Village Kalamazoo and is a member of Faith Alliance: a program of OutFront Kalamazoo. Originally from Houston, Rabbi Schicker has learned to love Michigan seasons even when there are multiple in the same day. She is a bonus Mom to three teenagers, and a dog mom with five cats. When not working Rabbi Schicker can be found at bookstores and breweries with her spouse.
