Bread for the Journey: An All Ages Service

Do you have a baked good that is special to you? Perhaps it is something passed down for generations or a recipe that you’ve worked hard to perfect or the item you always order at your favorite bakery. This is the Sunday to bring that item to church to share, as we reflect together on our individual stories and gifts and how, in sharing what we have, we create community and ‘share in the works of love that none of us can accomplish alone.’ If you would like to speak for a few minutes about your special baked good, please be in touch with Rev. Rachel.

If you are bringing a bread or baked good to share, please cut it into snack-size pieces. You are also invited to bring a spread (butter, jam, etc.) for bread, if you like. We will have a designated area for gluten-free items and will work hard to avoid cross-contamination.

After the service, we will be delivering some of the baked goods to Zoom attendees in Kalamazoo county. If you would rather not receive this snack, let Rev. Rachel know by Sunday morning or via the Zoom chat during the service.

You can access the order of service HERE.
