A Year for Befriending our Bodies

The new year is a time that many focus on changing the shape of our bodies. What if we focused on changing the world so all people of all body sizes can flourish instead? When Rev. Rachel had a daughter, she realized she wanted to raise a child more at home in her body and in the world that Rev. Rachel has ever managed to be. This service will be a reflection on five years of study, reflection, listening, and learning as we cast a vision of a world where all people of all sizes receive care and respect. People are invited to wear stripes to church this Sunday because, despite what many of us have been told about not wearing stripes so we appear smaller, people of all sizes look great in stripes.
