Viola Liuzzo was a white Unitarian Universalist from Michigan who answered the call of Martin Luther King Jr. and other civil rights leaders to participate in the Selma voting rights campaign in 1965. While providing transportation to marchers, she was killed by members of the Klu Klux Klan. On Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, we will tell the story of this modern Unitarian Universalist martyr.
