Clark G. Howland
1865 - 1881
Clark G. Howland was much beloved, but the church had financial troubles during some of his sixteen-year pastorate. In 1873 and 1879, there were periods when no services were held. A new Bond of Union was adopted in 1873 and signed by 67 people. The organ from the old building was sent to Mr. Howland's Kansas church when it was no longer needed here.
During the term of Ahaz N. Alcott, minister from 1882-84, a new Bond of Union was adopted and signed by 55 people. There was no minister from 1884-87 when Charles A. Ellis was engaged for one year.
