“Core Strength”  – Jill McAllister

Those who are interested in physical fitness are aware of the concept of “core strength” which refers to maintaining strength in the abdominal muscles, to help keep other parts of the body in balance (and literally improve our balance.)  It’s interesting to apply this idea to our spiritual lives as well, to consider practices, perspectives and attitudes which can help keep our minds and hearts balanced, in a world which often feels precariously un-balanced and chaotic.  We will also be recognizing our newest members during this service.
