Our Social Justice Work Through ISAAC
Increase affordable housing! Address the disparate rate of black infant mortality in Kalamazoo County! Expanded bus service on Sundays! Advocate against school closures in our school district! Increase access to high quality preschool! Address youth violence and racism! These are issues People’s Church is helping to achieve through our work with ISAAC and its task forces.
ISAAC is the interfaith social justice network of congregations and strategic partners that work together to build a more just community in Kalamazoo County. People’s Church has been active in leading and supporting this work for all 15 years of ISAAC’s history. Visit http://isaackalamazoo.org/ to learn about the current work and subscribe.
On Saturday evening, May 6th, ISAAC will hold its annual banquet in the WMU Bernard Center at 5:30 (seating). 500 citizens, political and faith leaders will be there to share community and be inspired with other social justice minded people from all walks of life and faith traditions. The Banquet is the major fundraiser to support ISAAC’s work. Please contribute to the full color “ad” that People’s Church hopes to purchase in the Banquet book and buy a ticket to attend or donate for the banquet. Our ISAAC core team will have a display in the foyer from now through April for your participation. Thank you for steadfastly supporting People’s Church as a key part of ISAAC!
