RE Is Starting!

With the cool breeze through my window this morning, I am reminded that it is indeed fall and that means it’s time to start RE!

I have so enjoyed seeing children and youth come back to church over the past few weeks.  Watching the children taking full advantage of the new outdoor equipment has been bringing joy to me and to many in our congregation.

And now we have the opportunity to learn and grow together as we start our curriculum. Starting on October 10th, we’ll be teaching Natural Wonders (Pre-K/K), Keepers of the Earth (1st-6th), OWL (7th-8th), and Sharing the Journey (9th-12th).

I am personally so excited to share Keepers of the Earth with you because now more than ever we need our children to grow in the knowledge of our Mother Earth and how to care for her, from the tallest tree to the smallest insect. I can’t wait to see what they discover as they explore our grounds and what touches their heart and ignites their commitment to care for our environment.

I know these are uncertain times. I know we are all navigating them as best as we can and I wish you all kindness and grace. I hope to see you at church very soon.

Blessed Be, Diane Melvin, Religious Education Director
