People’s Church School of Witchcraft & Wizardry

The fun and learning continue in our Harry Potter UU classes for 2nd-12th graders.  Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Loaves and Fishes Food Drive.

As we wrap up our unit on hunger, we are turning to learning more about poverty.  While exploring the causes, we are also focused on how we can alleviate some of the symptoms.

Our middle and high school students will have the opportunity to serve meals at Ministry with Community on December 17th and 24th.

We are also conducting two concurrent collection drives in correlation with our unit on poverty.  One is to provide members at Ministry with Community with toiletries needed to provide cleanliness and dignity to folks in our community struggling with poverty.

The other drive is to collect warm clothes to help recent refugee families in our community prepare for a Michigan Winter.  Needed items include new or gently used winter coats of all sizes, scarves, hats, and mittens.

Everyone is encouraged to bring in needed items for Ministry with Community and warm outer wear for refugee families in Kalamazoo.  Please leave these items in the bins in the Lower Lobby of church through December 18th.

It is a privilege to provide accurate age appropriate sex education with a focus on values, integrity, right relations, openness and honesty at People’s Church.

Huge thanks to Brooke Brody and Pam Wadsworth for leading this very large class!
