Sunday September 21: Tower of Song: Leonard Cohen at 80.  The Canadian poet / songwriter Leonard Cohen turns 80 years old today. He is still performing live concerts and producing new music. Today we will view the DVD of the 2010 concert “Leonard Cohen Live from London”.  All welcome!

Sunday November 02: Leonard Bernstein’s “Candide”.  Shortly before he died in 1990, Leonard Bernstein assembled a stellar cast of musicians for a concert performance in London of his masterpiece “Candide”, which is based on Voltaire’s satire of the same title. We’ll show the DVD of this stunning performance, with maestro Bernstein conducting. This presentation will build upon the Sunday service on November 02 which will consider the context of “Candide” and its relevance for us today.
