sixth-extinction-nonfiction-book-kobertThe next meeting of the Study Group will be on Monday, November 14, at 7:30 p.m. in Room 18. All are welcome. We will be discussing The Sixth Extinction by Elizabeth Kolbert, a staff writer for the New Yorker magazine.  This book won the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for General Non-Fiction. In addition to describing previous mass extinctions on this planet, this book discusses how a current mass extinction is being driven by human society. By the end of the 21st century, if current trends continue, this “sixth extinction” will lead to the loss of between 20% and 50% of all current species. Questions?
