The Study Group is sptfasonsoring a discussion of a book by Daniel Kahneman, Thinking, Fast and Slow.  Kahneman is a well-known psychologist who is also a winner of the Nobel prize in economics, for his research on why and how human beings predictably make biased decisions in many everyday situations. For a taste of Professor Kahneman’s mind at work, see his delightful TED talk which, among other things, provides an interesting perspective on how human beings perceive reality very differently in the moment than how they remember and judge events later. All are welcome to attend this discussion. The discussion will take place in Room 18.  For more information, contact Tim Bartik at
