Hurtful Things Well-Intentioned People Say

I invite you all to check out the large bulletin board in the back hallway. In the education program, we aspire to generate conversation on relevant topics. The scenarios presented examine different types of discrimination and bias.

While we recognize that racism is a deeply ingrained systemic problem, we also recognize that sometimes we say things that unknowingly hurt others feelings. Since we strive to live in right relations with ourselves and others it is helpful to be aware of the impact of what we say. After you read through the scenarios presented, I invite you to add your comments/feedback to the attached clipboard.

Blessed Be, Diane Melvin, Religious Education Director

See you there!

The mission of Circle Pines is to teach peace, social justice, environmental stewardship and cooperation. The Center aims to demonstrate cooperative alternatives for economic and social issues and to teach cooperation as a way of life. More information can be found on their website at http://www.circlepinescenter.org

Please sign up in the foyer so we will know how many people to plan work projects and lunch for.
