The Special Collection on Sunday, February 8th will be for the Kalamazoo Community Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services. Executive Director Jeff Patton and Teresa Lewis, Customer Service Manager, will give us insights on February 8.
KCMHSAS has been delivering quality services and programs for over 30 years. Their priority population is Adults with Mental Illnesses, Youth with Emotional Disturbances, Individuals with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities and Individuals with co-occurring Substance Use Disorders.
KCMHSAS is proud to be the developer/sponsor of The Recovery Institute—an agency run by Peer Support Specialists that continues our Mission of empowering individuals with a mental illness to lead rich and meaningful lives in the community. KCMHSAS also offers Peer Support opportunities to Families and Youth served in the form of Family Support Partners and to Individuals served with Intellectual/Developmental Disabilities from Peer Mentors.
The organization also has a grant right now that is funding FREE Mental Health First Aid Trainings at 418 W Kalamazoo Ave. Training times are from 8 am to 5 pm with a lunch break. Please call 269-364-6952 to register for any of these trainings.
