Before starting her sabbatical, Rev. Rachel invited folks with expertise in medicine, buildings and overall functioning to begin the process of making recommendations on how and when we, as a congregation, can safely gather – both in small groups and as a whole.  Our team met in February and March and we are checking in with highlights of our progress.

While recommendations and decisions about being able to return to church cannot be made in the short term, our team will continue to meet regularly. This ensures we keep building considerations (UV, ventilation) top of mind as new pandemic related knowledge is accrued, and also enables sharing information from the UUA and other churches.

The increased availability and administration of vaccines is such a welcome relief, and we love hearing the Sunday service Zoom chat reports of People’s people getting vaccinated.  We long to gather together again.

If you have any questions about vaccinations, or if you need help getting an appointment, please contact Greg Feldmeier at or Marti Peters-Sparling at

In the meantime, please reach out to us if you have any other questions or concerns.
