The Styrofoam collection was a big success! Next drop-off date will be March 23 so plan to bring materials to church March 10 and 17.

The Green Sanctuary Committee is presenting an Environmental Film Series over the next few months. We start with Paris to Pittsburgh on January 27. This documentary describes exciting climate actions that are taking place in communities all over the US in spite of Trump’s decision to pull the US out of the Paris Climate Agreement. The film may raise your spirits during this gloomy season.

February 24, we will dig deeper into the growth of renewable energy generation with Happening: A Clean Energy Revolution. Solar and wind energy installations have increased and costs have decreased dramatically over recent years. After the film, we will hold a discussion about the potential for solar energy in our church and community.

March 24 brings wistful thoughts of spring and a presentation by Bruce Ferguson and Helda Morales on their work to train teachers to use school gardens for education and healthy food access in Mexico.

Films will be shown in Room 19 at 12:30 p.m. after the Sunday service (1/27, 2/24, and 3/24). A light snack will be available.
