The Social Justice Coordinating Committee is pleased to report that the response to the Special Collection on February 10 for Trans Lifeline was $1387. Thanks to Cylise Snow and all those who helped make us aware of this organization and its need.
Our next special collection will be held on March 17 for the Center for Transformation. As you may recall, CFT is a non-profit which strives to find mentors for those who need support and guidance while resuming their place in society. People’s church has worked within this organization for years. Mentors include Rick Johnson, Molly Fairbanks and George McCrea. Last fall CFT had a table at the Recovery Institute of SW Michigan Wellness and Recovery Fair.
Justice Wall of Involvement
You really can’t miss the Social Justice Wall of Involvement as you come up the stairs to the second floor. Find a few minutes when the “traffic” is light and read all the ways that People’s people give to our community and to wider outreach with no expectations but the joy of sharing.
And to be in on ALL social justice action, drop in on any meeting of the committee on the second Saturday of the month in Room L1 at 10:30 a.m.
